About the role: This is a new role which has been created to reflect the growth of our client, a highly successful privately owned construction/engineering business based in the Blackpool area.

The role offers a great opportunity for a creative Bid Writer to take the lead in writing and presenting compelling bids. Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will work assist in writing, reviewing and editing technical and business focussed written content for construction, housing and small civil engineering bid submissions and presentations for both the public and private sectors, supporting content creation, researching and liaising with other team members and technical specialists. Other duties will include but not be limited to, confirming requirements of individual bids and ensuring bid deadlines are met, participating in bid kick off meetings and key reviews, contribute relevant ideas for identifying win themes and developing bid submissions to the company's advantage in order to present the company's strengths, write, edit and check bid submission documents for bid PQQs, tenders and frameworks, liaise with operational teams, subject matter experts, estimators and planners, as required and preparing PowerPoint presentations and other visuals for tender interviews.

Skills and experience required: The ideal candidate will be an experienced Bid Writer with a background in Construction. You will have a track record of success using your written responses. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and experience in researching and persuasive writing, with the strongest attention to detail. You should be highly proficient in the MS Office packages including Word, PowerPoint and Excel and possess a willingness to learn other packages if required by the business.
