Position: Pastoral Support Worker
Location: Blackpool
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: £85 - £110.89 per day
As a Pastoral Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing essential guidance and care to students within the dynamic school community. Your dedication to nurturing holistic development and fostering a supportive atmosphere will empower students to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing trusting relationships with students, offering empathetic support and guidance.
- Implementing pastoral strategies to address social, emotional, and behavioural needs effectively.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students.
- Monitoring student progress and implementing targeted interventions as necessary.
- Contributing to the development of a positive school culture where every student feels valued and supported.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a similar pastoral support role within an educational setting is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in education, counselling, or social work are desirable.
