REED ae working in partnership with a modern, growing accountancy practice recruiting for a 'Senior Accountant' with experience working in an Accountancy Practice. The company have an open door policy, like to invest in their staff, and value training opportunities.

The Senior Accountant would play a key role in shaping the next steps of the office. You will be working with predominantly owner-managed businesses, Sole Traders and SMEs with strong client focus and contact.

Senior Accountant (Part Qualified / Qualified)

Hybrid workinng (Office based nera Blandford)

Full Time / Part Time - Salary up to £50,000 per annum depending on experience

  • Reporting directly to Partner/Director level, liaising directly with all clients, managing a client portfolio, preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, and tax computations and returns
  • Providing planning advice to clients, and mentoring junior members of staff.
  • Finalise working papers and financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Provide technical assistance to members of staff in the accounting team.
  • Identify & proactively communicate advisory points with clients.
  • Keep up to date with any changes in accounting regulations and ensure clients are made aware of the impact of these.
  • Mentor trainee members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification e.g., ACCA/ACA/MAAT or Part Qualified
  • At least 2 years’ UK practice experience.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Highly commercial approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • The ability to manage yours and the team’s workload, handle multiple deadlines and rank priority tasks.
  • Friendly and welcoming manner with professional presentation.
  • A willingness to work with others and respect their views.
  • Excellent IT skills - Microsoft products, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, IRIS.
