We have an exciting opportunity for a Yard/Stores Person to join our client's organisation, a leading company in heavy manufacturing and engineering. If you have a passion for logistics and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, then this is the perfect role for you!

This will be working Monday - Friday day shift only from 5:45am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Yard/Stores Person, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the yard and stores area. Your key duties will include:

  • Managing the dispatch and receipt of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and timely delivery.
  • Organising materials and stock control, utilising your excellent organisational skills to ensure easy access and efficient handling.
  • Operating forklift trucks (FLT) to handle heavy equipment, so a FLT licence or experience is desirable.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • A driving licence is required for this role, as you may be required to drive company vehicles.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse or yard/stores environment would be advantageous, particularly within heavy manufacturing or engineering.
  • Strong organisational skills to effectively manage stock control, dispatch, and receiving of goods.
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck (FLT) safely and efficiently.
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet the demands of the role.
  • A competitive salary ranging from £12 to £13 per hour, depending on experience.
