The UK Head Office and warehouse distribution centre is based in Blyth with additional warehousing in Prague.With plans for growth including the launch of additional brands, the business turns over £10m and employs 25 people.Sonik is best known for carp fishing tackle and products, but also supply coarse and sea tackle. Products are designed in house, manufactured overseas, and sold through retailers in the UK and Europe.As a result of a planned retirement, Sonik is recruiting a hands on commercially aware Finance Director with a strong background in cash management and system implementation as the business will need to replace its ERP system in the next few years.  Reporting to the Chairman and working very closely with the other directors the successful candidate will have broad ranging involvement, and the opportunity to play a key role in moulding the business going forward.  Specific responsibilities will include  Actively participating in and managing the finance functionSystemsHuman ResourcesHealth and Safety and Insurance  Potential candidates should be experienced qualified accountants used to working at Board level.The qualities required to work in an experienced, close knit management team are taken as given, along with the necessary eye for detail required in a SME.Salary will be driven by market rate and the individual will be incentivised for the medium term through share options, which the Board have every intention of realising.
