I am currently recruiting on behalf of a Tier 1 Contractor who build medium sized projects through to some of the largest and most prolific in the South. The company has a turnover of £650million and their name is recognised within the marketplace as delivering projects on time and budget.
They are currently recruiting for a Design Manager to work on a 3 year, £80million project in Plymouth. The project is military sensitive so you will need to be, or have been, SC Cleared.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage design team and review and agree design programme, deliverables and cost parameters.
Maintain information flow and overview design team's co-ordination and verification process.
Provide advice and guidance on buildability of design proposals to design and construction teams.
Manage design related liaison. Monitor, manage and approve design changes, ensuring programme and cost effects are agreed.
Involve design team in supply chain and procurement.
Identify and manage need for specialist sub-contractor design.
Identify and manage third party involvement.
Contribute to ensuring safe design in accordance with CDM.
Contribute to provision of As built information.
Any other reasonable task that may be required by the line manager.
