Temporary Shotblast Operative - Cleaning and Maintenance Specialist - Based in Westhoughton

About the Role:
As a Shotblast Operative, you will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the organisation's printing machinery using a powerful jet wash tool. Your role will involve blasting out materials such as grit or sand to ensure the machinery is kept in optimal condition. Please note that this role requires you to wear full personal protective equipment (PPE), including a face mask. It is essential to consider that this role will be in a confined space, so individuals who are claustrophobic may not be suitable for this position. Working a 36 hour week - Monday to Friday, both day and night shift included 6.00 - 6.00.
You must be prepared to undertake a security clearance for this role which requires providing 5 years employment history without gaps and 5 years address history. You must have lived in the UK for the past 5 years to be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a partner to effectively dismantle the machinery for cleaning purposes.
- Utilise the jet wash tool to thoroughly clean and remove any debris or residue.
- Ensure all areas of the machinery are cleaned to the highest standards.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines to protect yourself and your team.
- Shift pattern includes working- days and nights
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
- Physical fitness and stamina to be on your feet throughout the duration of your shift.
