The manufacturing facility in Bolton is an essential cog int he wider business, contributing £1bn in revenue from its outputs.
The Role
This job as Finance Business Partner will be embedded within a multi-function environment, providing a service to both finance and non-finance functions in order to support the delivery of the annual financial objectives. You will be heavily involved in costings; business planning; budgeting and forecasting; investments and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll handle the fiscal side of certain projects within the business, ensuring the budget is right, costs are tracked and remain on budget. You'll be heavily involved in product costing, helping establish and manage how much it costs to make each product. Share these numbers clearly and on time with stakeholders do they can make informed decisions and improvements. You will need to keep a tight grip on day-to-day costs (like labour and utilities) for relevant departments, making sure they stay within the agreed budget to safeguard profitability. You will also play an active role in the new ERP implementation, by supporting the roll out and testing of the new system; ensuring it works as planned within the manufacturing and finance process flows.
Duties
- Have financial responsibility and accountability for specific projects
- Establish and manage costings, enabling the delivery of accurate and valuable management information, increasing management agility
- Manage and control overhead costs for relevant departments
- Be involved in the ERP implementation
This role will give you broad experience of manufacturing finance, involving cost base and projects, as well as business partnering. As a result of the evolving workload, this position offers great potential to progress within the team.
Requirements
- You will be a Part Qualified or Qualified Accountant with experience within a large, manufacturing based environment
- You must have business partnering experience to operational staff, in particular within manufacturing and costings, with key knowledge of manufacturing based performance metrics
- Background of project and / or overhead cost control within manufacturing
- Experience of SAP would be advantageous

- Salary - Up to £55,000, dependent on experience
