We have an exciting role for a qualified Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Adult Team in Bolton.

This is a Borough wide service dealing with new customers, or customers who are not currently allocated to qualified workers in other teams. This will involve working as a duty worker, screening safeguarding referrals, approximately 2 days per week; and also holding your own Section 42 enquiries, Section 42, Care Act 2014.

This is a small, dedicated team who are very supportive of each other. The worker will be required to follow the safeguarding policy and procedure in Bolton, and to have knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act, as MCA assessments and Best Interests decisions also form a large part of the work that they do.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups.
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
