Nursery Nurse / Nursery Assistant
We are currently recruiting for an experienced level 2 or level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse Practitioner for an independent children’s day nursery in Edinburgh.
The successful candidate will preferably hold a minimum level 2 Early Years Childcare qualification, you will also ideally have at least 12 months setting experience, being able to demonstrate a firm understanding of both the EYFS framework and key worker practices.
Position Overview
Your role:
- Supporting and extending children’s learning, development and educational outcomes
- Organising and overseeing the planning, implementation and provision of activities
- Carrying out observations and evaluations
- Planning and providing next steps to support children’s development
What you will need:
- A full and relevant Nursery Nurse Practitioner / EarlyYears Educator qualification
- An understanding of the EYFS and key worker systems
- An understanding of health and safety requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
