Excellent Financial Accountant opportunity with a £25m t/o rapidly expanding e-commerce business in Merseyside. In this new role created due to to ongoing company expansion, you will report to the Finance Manager and dotted line to Finance Director whilst overseeing an Accounts assistant with your remit including:

  • Supporting the month end process and preparation of monthly management accounts (XERO)
  • Accruals & Prepayments
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Purchase Ledger
  • Sales Ledger
  • Credit Control
  • Supporting compliance (international transactions)

With this being a new role to provide support to both the Accounts Assistant and Finance Manager there is a degree of fluidity to this role and there could be additional responsibilities depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant. Our client is ideally looking for someone AAT qualified and actively working towards CIMA or ACCA qualification, but relevant experience precedes the level of qualification level. Previous experience in a similar profile role is essential as are excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and to work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results. A salary to £35k (possibly a little flexibility) is complemented with good benefits including Flexitime, Hybrid working (1 day WFH per week), 5% Pension, onsite parking and very good prospects for those looking for a developing role where they can take their skills and experience to the next level.
