About The Role:

Deliver family support assessment and interventions for children and young people with disabilities.

Contract:

  • Contract Length: 3-6 months with a view to extend to an ongoing contract.
  • Pay Rate: Starting from £16+ per hour (negotiable depending on your experience).
  • Location: Bootle.
  • Working Hours: 36 Hours per week - Monday - Friday - 9am - 5pm.

Main Duties:

  • Work sensitively with children with moderate to severe learning disabilities, and complex health needs, to develop their social and communication skills, and promote friendships, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Conduct assessments and support the planning of appropriate interventions and outcomes.
  • Consult meaningfully with children, young people, and their parents/carers to ensure that services are appropriate, tailored to individual need, reliable, and sensitive.
  • Ensure that the needs of children and young people are met through the delivery of planned interventions.
  • Access wherever possible the fullest range of mainstream community resources and facilities in keeping with our aspirations for social inclusion and to provide activities that enable children to enjoy and achieve.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Level 3 NVQ Health & Social Care or Equivalent.
  • Experience of delivering / evaluating leisure opportunities for disabled children and young people.
  • Experience of working with parents and carers of disabled children and young people.
