We’re excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Centre Manager to lead our innovation centre, BASE Bordon. Set in the former Louisburg Barracks, BASE Bordon Innovation Centre brings together a diverse mix of start-ups, SMEs and high-growth businesses to create an exhilarating community of collaborators, innovators and entrepreneurs. This historic former Officers’ Mess has been re-designed to provide modern and inspiring workspaces.

This key role focuses on enhancing the centre’s commercial success through marketing, sales, community engagement, and operational excellence. Operated by Oxford Innovation Space, the centre is part of a UK-wide network supporting start-ups, high-growth SMEs, and public sector partners with workspace and business support services.

What You’ll Do:

As Centre Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the centre’s success, responsible for:

  • Leading the centre team and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Building strong relationships with partners, our clients and other stakeholders.
  • Managing all aspects of sales, marketing, and operations to attract and retain customers.
  • Overseeing financial performance, including budgeting, reporting, and cost control.
  • Creating a collaborative, community-focused environment that supports innovation and growth.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience managing a high-quality business centre or similar asset.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L, and revenue generation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A proactive, customer-focused mindset and a passion for innovation.
