Empowering Learning are working with an 11-18 school located in Lincoln who are looking for a dedicated and engaging Teacher of Religious Education to join an outstanding department of 7 specialists. Religious Education is part of the core curriculum 11-16 and Religion, Philosophy and Ethics is a popular option at A-Level.

Religious Education results are consistently amongst the best in this high achieving school and the subject is regularly rated by students as the one they most enjoy. The role is to cover a 1-year period of maternity, commencing in September 2024.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a well-qualified teacher with relevant experience of teaching Religious Education in a secondary school.
  • Has a passionate commitment to Religious Education and the ability to enthuse and inspire young people across the age (11-18) and full ability range.
  • Has sound understanding of the effective pedagogy in Religious Education.
  • A lively, engaging and inspiring classroom practitioner who can build positive relationships with students.
  • Good interpersonal skills, the ability to empathise with young people and build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • A commitment to personal, professional development and becoming the best that you can be.
