Shorterm Group are looking for Vehicle Technician to upskill them into HGV Technicians.We have designed a paid upskilling programme that takes experienced light vehicle mechanics, car, PCV and HGV mechanics and upskills them to be highly competent HGV/PSV/Bus technicians. It is a joint programme between us and a few of the largest British based Bus/Coach/HGV companies.This is a 1-year paid "work and learn" programme.The training programme consists of 24 separate planned on the job (OTJ) training practical assessments across the year.* Location: Various around Northampton, Lincolnshire, Peterborough, Wellingborough.* Shift: Monday to Friday and every other Saturday.o Mon - Fri, early late alternating shifts (6am-2:30pm and 1pm/2pm-9:30pm/10:30pm)o Sat - 8am-12pm* Salary: Circa £34k dependant on shift/hours worked. Night shifts are also available at certain depots.* Hourly rate: starting at £16.53p/h PAYE.* Duration: 12 months in the clients' depot - after this there is a very good prospect of full-time employment direct with the client.* IMI accreditation upon completion of the 1-year programme and salary increase to 42k Qualifications/Skills needed:* Will have completed an apprenticeship in light vehicle mechanics and repair, BTEC, City & Guilds qualification or a level 2equivalent relevant qualification.
