About the Business:

Our client one of the largest growers of fresh cut and living pot herbs in the UK.

About The Role:

As a Team Leader you will be a confident team player, prepared to be flexible to meet the requirements of a busy Harvesting department. You will monitor team performance and ensure timely intervention where levels of underperformance are detected. Develop and coach your team to perform their duties effectively to comply with legal requirements and quality standards. In addition, you will be required to work cross functionally with other departments to maximise operational excellence.

Hours of work :

Sunday to Thursday; 6-14:30pm

Pay rate:

13.60 per hour

This is a PERMANENT role.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage to ensure a safe working environment exists for all employees as set out in the Group Health & Safety
  • To maintain standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
  • To manage daily planting, in line with daily orders and completion in full.
  • To ensure the delivery of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across the Planting operation through the team, making sure that KPIs are understood and utilised to support performance improvement plans and day to day activities.
  • To plan staffing levels on a daily basis.
  • To ensure minimal waste levels of packaging or product is achieved, all issues must be reported to Production Manager.
  • To achieve specified production rates for the areas of work.

Be able to work well within a team, communicate and escalate as required
Achieve a high standard of punctuality and attendance
