The School and Role

An SEN school based in Christchurch are currently seeking a Humanities Teacher to start in September 2024. The school caters for young people aged 6 to 16 years old who have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) for Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). The students have a range of needs that include childhood trauma, social anxiety, school phobia, Autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), among others.

Requirements 

The desired Teacher will have;

- QTS

- A degree or equivalent 

- Experience of teaching primary and/or secondary school aged children

- Experience working with children with SEN/SEMH

- A passion for the progress of pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
