Position: Teaching Assistant
Pay: £12.82 per hour
Location: Bournemouth
Start Date: Summer Term/September Starts
Contract Type: Long Term, Full Time
Working Hours: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm
We are currently searching for committed and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our primary school teams in Bournemouth. This role is ideal for individuals seeking valuable experience in the classroom, with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge about SEN and different learning styles. Perhaps you are interested in gaining further experience before pursuing teacher training, if so, this is the opportunity perfect for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Classroom Support: As a Teaching Assistant you will assist teachers in delivering engaging and interactive lessons, providing one-on-one support to students, and facilitating small group activities.
- Individualised Learning: As a Teaching Assistant you will work closely with students who require additional support and tailored provision, so being able to adapt to children’s individual needs is important.
- Behaviour Management: Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting respectful behaviour, and implementing behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policies.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- An enthusiastic and proactive approach, demonstrating your passion for education and your willingness to support student learning.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school environment.
- Hold a DBS registered to the update service or apply through GSL Education.
