M&E Project Manager

Salary : £60k-£70k per annum

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our client's team in Bournemouth. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of projects, from initial surveys and quotations through mobilisation to final delivery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) projects ranging from £50k to £1m in value. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team, manage resources effectively, and ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Project Mobilisation:

  • Lead project mobilization efforts, including safety documentation production.
  • Develop procurement schedules and plans with active betterment demonstrations.
  • Efficiently plan and program work packages.
  • Provide financial reporting for project mobilization activities.

Project Surveys and Quotations:

  • Collaborate with project teams to conduct surveys and prepare quotations.
  • Assist in the preparation of comprehensive project quotations.

Project Delivery:

  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring successful completion within scope, time, and budget.
  • Manage project teams and resources effectively.
  • Address and resolve issues that arise during project execution.

Work/Meeting Attendance:

  • Maintain a balanced approach to office and site-based work.
  • Attend project meetings and financial reviews to ensure objectives are met.
  • Collaborate in design team meetings to coordinate design-related aspects of projects.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Hold financial responsibility for individual projects.
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to financial control procedures and policies.

Person Specification (Essentials):

  • Proven track record in delivering M&E projects (£50k-£1m).
  • Completed IOSH membership.
  • Proficient in generating and approving CPP, RAMS, and permits.
  • Strong financial control and reporting skills.
  • High-level command of commercial acumen.
  • Client-facing with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
