Our well-established client an engineering consultancy are recruiting due to being in a period continued success and growth! They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to who is passionate about design with the skills to lead a small team of Design Engineers.

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

Be responsible for seeing designs through to manufacture
Lead a small team of engineers, supporting them through their development
Assess performance, cost, and manufacturing feasibility
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
Prepare, analyse, and present concept designs
Prepare the supporting documents for product designs, including: Test Reports, FEA reports and Engineering Calculations

The ideal Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will:

Experience of working as a Design Engineer working in the Mechanical and/or Mechatronic systems industries (or similar)
Degree educated Mechanical Engineer (or technical knowledge gained in an industrial setting)
Knowledge of Kinematics, Dynamics and Solid Mechanics
Knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes
Experience of CAD, FEA and/or other analytical software packages

Working Hours + Benefits:

Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 17:30
1 day from home, 4 in office
