A leading manufacturing company based in Bradford is seeking a skilled and strategic Financial Controller to join its leadership team. This is a pivotal role, offering the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Director and play a key part in driving the financial performance and long-term success of the business.About the Role:The Financial Controller will take full ownership of the finance function, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making at the highest level. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will help shape strategy, ensure financial compliance, and lead the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, including month-end and year-end processes
Prepare and present detailed financial reports and forecasts to the Managing Director and board
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and manage cash flow and working capital
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and internal financial policies
Drive process improvements and cost control initiatives across the business
Manage and develop a small finance team, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Liaise with external auditors, banks, and other financial stakeholders

Candidate Profile:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
Strong background in manufacturing or related industry highly desirable
Excellent analytical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving
Commercially minded, with the ability to contribute to business strategy
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
