Due to continued growth our client is on the lookout for a skilled CNC machinist to join their dynamic team!

About the job:

The role of CNC Machinist is to complete all works with no supervision and the ability to set up and operate the CNC machinery, whilst adhering to all shop floor Health & Safety guidelines. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • To safely set up, program and operate CNC Machines whilst adhering to all safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure equipment/ machinery is running smoothly, efficiently and to optimum requirements
  • Maintain a clean, neat and organised work area
  • Good understanding of mechanical engineering and machining principles
  • Compliance with all quality policies and specifications, and instructions
  • Use of gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements of finished goods
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result

Skills/ Experience:

  • Fully trained in operation of CNC / Manual Lathes/ Milling Machines and other
  • Ability to read/ interpret engineering drawings.
  • Online programming and editing essential (Fanuc, Siemens & XYZ controls)
  • Experience in CAD/ CAM such as AutoCAD/ OneCNC beneficial
  • Apprentice trained preferred but qualified by experience considered.
  • Fork truck licence beneficial.
