CAD Technician

White Label is partnered with an engineering and manufacturing business in Bradford that requires a CAD Technician to join their team.

As the CAD Technician, you will work closely with Account Managers to precisely understand client’s requirements, job briefs, and detailed design specifications and then accurately translate these to comprehensive technical drawings and plans.

Package/Benefits

·A salary of £30,000 and above depending on experience.

·25 days holiday + bank holidays

·Monday – Thursday 08:30 – 5:30 PM and 08:30 – 2:30 PM on Fridays

Responsibilities of the CAD Technician

·Be a principal point of contact for all CAD outputs on your assigned projects ensuring that all aspects are understood and agreed upon and that expectations are managed and met.

·Working closely with internal and client-facing teams from initial client brief to delivery to ensure that planned output is achievable, and designs use optimal materials and processes to ensure the final product meets or exceeds specification and is delivered within budget at minimum cost.

·You will use your knowledge and experience to guide clients on optimal design processes and guide on appropriate materials for projects being clear about design limitations/restrictions resulting from budgets, timescales, or other factors.

·This will involve highly effective communication – internal and external – to ensure that there is a complete end-to-end understanding of every stage of the process and a clear record of decision points so that project output meets evolved specifications and requirements.

·You will diligently use systems and processes to manage production and delivery.

·Work to retain, develop, evolve, and secure new and existing client relationships to maximize opportunities at agreed profit margins within approved credit limits and payment terms.

Experience required of the CAD Technician

·5 years or more experience in a design role ideally within Product Design, Furniture, Retail Display, or similar.

·Autodesk Inventor experience is essential.
