Outreach worker required

Independent pupil referral unit

We are currently recruiting for temporary full time Outreach Workers to work with KS3 vulnerable students that attend a pupil referral unit in their homes in and around the Bradford area. These vulnerable KS3 students present with Social and emotional difficulties, ADHD, complex mental health difficulties, experienced childhood trauma, disengaged learners and children with low educational attainment. Having experience working with vulnerable students from a pupil referral unit or SEMH setting would be an advantage, however if you are resilient and committed to making a difference in children’s lives and want further information, please contact me on (phone number removed) or email (url removed)

Job Spec & Description:

  • Must have Degree or diploma in the following areas: Child, Youth & Community, Education, and Psychology, social work or equivalent.
  • Experience with vulnerable children with complex SEN needs.
  • Implementing intervention strategies to support vulnerable children, by theory or practice.
  • Must have full UK driving licence with business insurance.
  • Flexi able and Adaptable
  • Delivering planned activities and adapting tasks to support the individuals needs while also encouraging challenging activities to push for full potential.
  • Demonstrate own implementations used for coping methods for struggling learners.
  • De-escalation techniques is an advantage, but not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS on the subscription service, or willing to obtain one.
