Responsibilities: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Work with students aged 11-19 with special learning needs and disabilities in a specialist setting.
  • Assist teachers and caregivers in achieving academic goals.
  • Engage students with activities that support creativity and imagination.
  • Support students to ensure comprehension of lessons.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, caregivers, and parents to implement positive behavior strategies and address student issues.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SEN students or similar transferable experience.
  • Patient, passionate, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to manage students with challenging behavior.
  • Confidence, punctuality, and eagerness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (assistance available through Randstad if needed).
