Our client, a specialist financial services provider, are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. This role is crucial in ensuring customer payments are applied to accounts efficiently and accurately. Day to Day of the Role:- Execute high-volume processing of customer transactions for mortgages and loans.
- Perform various analyses and reconciliations, including bank and nominal reconciliations.
- Process approximately 100 Purchase Ledger invoices per month, along with a small number of Sales Ledger invoices.
- Reconcile supplier positions and manage invoice processing and payment.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to ensure quality and timeliness in service delivery.
- Adhere to internal and external regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements, including FCA’s Conduct Rules.
- A good team player with flexibility to assist colleagues beyond prescribed tasks.
- Proactive, self-motivated with a high level of energy and drive.
- Commitment to service delivery to both internal and external customers.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to meet tight deadlines.
- Accounts experience is an advantage, but training will be provided as needed.
- Good accuracy, numeracy, and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in computer and keyboard skills, with knowledge of Excel being an advantage.
- Working towards AAT or a recognised accounting qualification is preferred but can be qualified by experience.
