Call Centre Agent
Treble Twenty Taxis, Brentwood’s largest Private Hire, Taxi and Courier operator has an exciting opportunity for a full time Call Centre Agent to join our Call Centre Team at their Brentwood site. As a Call Centre Agent you will respond quickly and professionally to incoming telephone and e-mail bookings.
About the role:
This is no ordinary switchboard role. With around 5,000 incoming calls every week, you'll join our valuable team of call handlers at the core of the organisation.
Answering and processing calls from our large and varied customer base, you will provide an efficient and friendly service to external callers, taking bookings for a range of vehicles including taxi and courier vehicles. The call centre deals with enquiries from local residents as well as blue chip businesses. Journeys range from local residents travelling to the supermarket to business airport transfers. Dealing with bookings, day to day queries as well as processing credit card transactions makes this a varied busy role.
After undergoing extensive training, you will be responsible for handling each call appropriately, and you will quickly become familiar with this unique and varied organisation.
Call Centre Agent responsibilities and skills:
Inbound call handling within a busy Call Centre environment
Reliable and punctual
Great attention to detail
Excellent phone manner and written skills
A confident person with great communication skills
Capacity to make outbound customer service calls
Ability to build rapport and engage with customers
The ability to work within a team environment and also to work individually
Flexibility of working hours and be able to adapt to flexible working patterns
Knowledge of key Microsoft programmes (Including Windows and Outlook)
Local knowledge of the Brentwood area helpful
Work Hours - you must be flexible - weekly shift pattern agreed in advance, weekday shifts 7am to 1pm, 1pm to 7pm, weekend day shifts 9am to 6pm, weekend evening shifts 6pm to 2am, including some bank holidays.
About you:
Previous telephony experience would be an asset, but is not essential. What's most important is that you are a confident and professional communicator who feels at ease liaising with individuals at all levels. Customer focused in your approach, you are keen to go the extra mile to ensure caller's expectations are surpassed every time. A brilliant memory is a huge asset in this role. IT skills are also needed so that you can navigate the computerised booking system and communicate via email. What's more, you're able to think on your feet which will be key, as you'll never know what query you will be answering next.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who has experience within a Customer Service, Sales Office, Telesales or Call Centre environment, however full training is available for the right applicant but communication and keyboard skills are essential.
What we offer:
In return for meeting the above criteria you will be paid £11.50 per hour plus £5 per hour out of hours bonus (Friday and Saturday Nights only) and receive 28 days paid holiday (including Bank Holidays) pro rata, based on 40 hours per week.
