Due to continued growth, our highly respected and established Engineering client in Bridgend is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their innovative engineering team on a permanent basis.

This is a key hire for the company, where you will play a leading role in the design, development and testing of electrical control systems for their niche product range.

This is a unique opportunity to join a highly technical and global company whose products are sold throughout the world across many industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write control specifications for new products or modifications to existing products.
  • Design electrical circuits required for the development and production of existing and new products.
  • Generate build documentation and parts lists
  • Draft detailed commissioning procedures.
  • Liaise with end users and relevant contractors to ensure the correct design, test, and installation of systems.
  • Participate in the investigation of problems arising from testing or operational use in the field.
  • Contribute to the evolving Design Standards.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified to HND or preferably degree level in Electrical and / or Electronic Engineering.
  • Strong electrical / controls / automation engineering background.
  • Experienced in the full product life cycle
  • Experience of safety standards (12100, 60204 and 13849).
  • Experience of electrical drawing packages (for example, ePLAN).
  • Practical experience of electrical builds and use of diagnostic tools.

Salary & Benefits:

Our client offers an excellent working environment, a friendly and diverse team, and the opportunity to develop a rewarding career. Normal hours of work will be 37 per week (Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am to 1.30pm)
