Insurance Claims Handler - Liability

Due to continued growth, Smart Solutions is actively recruiting for a Claims Handler to join our globally renowned client based in South Wales.

To be considered for this role youll need at least 3-years experience within a similar role, specifically Employers and Public Liability Insurance claims (Personal Injury will be considered). Prior experience is essential as youll be managing your own designated case-load, ensuring claims are processed and settled within the companys guideline.

Key Responsibilities of theClaims Handler:

• Maintaining accurate file by file & pay-peril reserves to meet the Companys liabilities.
• Ensuring all claims allocated are controlled within company philosophies/procedures and KPIs to achieve investigation, negotiation and equitable settlement in accordance with levels of expertise/authority/responsibility of team staff.
• Providing support to senior management with day-to-day staff development to aid and supplement efficient progress to resolution of claims.
• Ensuring customers are treated fairly at all times.
• Authorising claims payments in accordance with departmental limit.
• Acting as liaison/referral contact for queries, providing claims support and expertise.
• Monitoring and reporting on services/costs of external providers, so as to achieve best performance/value for the company.
• Attending and/or chairing meetings at office locations and at broker or client premises.
