Job Title: Deputy Manager – Children’s HomeLocation: Bridgewater

We are currently seeking a passionate and driven Deputy Manager for a well-established Children’s Home in the Bridgewater area. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their skills and progress to a Registered Manager role.

As a Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to learn the ropes of managing a home and support the team to deliver the highest standards of care for the young people. In the absence of the Registered Manager, you will take charge to ensure the smooth running of the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor the home team, ensuring the safety, well-being, and progress of all young people in care.
  • Work alongside the Registered Manager to develop and implement individual care plans and therapeutic approaches tailored to each young person.
  • Ensure the team follows all safeguarding protocols and statutory regulations, maintaining high standards of care and ensuring young people feel safe and supported.
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the home, including rota management, staff supervision, and performance management.
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, including social workers, CAMHS, and local authorities, to provide comprehensive support for young people.
  • Support the Registered Manager in achieving and maintaining an outstanding Ofsted grade, driving continuous improvement across the home.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Children’s Home or similar care environment.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
