Nothing But Healthcare are currently seeking skilled and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistants with experience in medication administration to join our agency working in multiple nursing homes across Somerset including Bridgwater and Taunton.The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to residents while ensuring their medication needs are effectively managed.

PAYE/Umbrella available 12 to 18 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications to residents in accordance with prescribed dosages and schedules.
  • Maintain accurate medication records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team.
  • Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a compassionate and caring environment.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge in medication administration and resident care.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols, infection control procedures, and safeguarding guidelines at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a nursing home or similar setting.
  • Medication Administration training and certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to resident care.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Flexible availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
