Seven Social Care is looking for an Energy Projects Officer to fill an exclusive opportunity in Somerset.

We have opportunities available for up to 12 months and the pay is £20.85 (Umbrella) per hour.

The Hiring manager is looking for someone who can work 37 hours a week (various shifts available from Monday to Sunday).

The role:

Provide support to the Energy Manager by coordinating Somerset Council's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality across its estate and operations by 2030.

Assist in the development of the Council's Energy and Carbon Management Policy, Strategy and Action Plan

Support continuous improvement of energy management across the Council's property estate to best practice standards.

Key Responsibilities:

To perform or commission energy audits and surveys on buildings; report the results and recommend energy improvement measures to all relevant parties.

Identify and develop energy conservation, efficiency, and renewable energy projects.

To be responsible for preparing detailed project briefs and descriptions of work, including cost estimates, tender documentation etc to enable detailed designs to be produced and competitive tenders to be sought for energy conservation projects.

To manage projects to ensure that they are delivered within the specified timescale and to budget.   

To seek out and apply for internal and external funding to support the implementation of energy/ carbon reduction projects .
