The successful candidate will ideally have relevant qualifications (HNC /HND, Apprentice trained in relevant discipline. However, if you have had 'on the job training' in a similar semi skilled postition, we are also keen to talk to you!
Working hours is day shift, with overtime paid for overtime.
Duties includes the following:
Working from engineering drawings, to build from the start to finish.
Assembly of components and build of machinery to specification.
experience of welding.
Working to tight tolerances
Working with pneumatic & hydraulics
Competent use of manual machines and power tools.
Must have experience in a similar role within a manufacturing business
Be mechanically minded with an eye for detail, as working from engineering drawings & a strong mechanical background, with ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Be comfortable working to tight deadlines and timeframes.
Experienced with manual machines and power tools.
Have your own tools - however not essential.
Mechanical aptitude for understanding equipment and machinery.
Salary up to 30k basic plus overtime pay.
