What the Stores Manager job involves

  • You will lead a team of 8-12, completing regular 1-2-1 and appraisals
  • Looking to motivate and support your team with their continuous development
  • Working closely with production, planning and procurement teams to ensure the management of stock
  • Completing stock and safety audits
  • Updating processes and procedures to look for efficiencies and cost savings

Skills required

  • Previous experience of managing a Stores or Warehouse team
  • Positive and enthusiastic outlook
  • Experience of working with ERP Systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Understanding and experience of working on Stock rotation or stock cycling processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and varied role, working towards tight deadlines and targets
  • Understanding of LEAN manufacturing processes would be advantageous
