Rural Ranges are a small but growing family business located in Bridport, West Dorset. They specialise in the sale and installaon of high quality reconditioned Agas and new range cookers; Aga refurbishment services and fuel conversions, servicing and maintenance of Agas, Rayburns and other cast iron stoves, and service and repair boilers and conventional domestic cookers.

Their main servicing client base is located across Dorset, Devon, Somerset and Hampshire, whilst for installations and conversions they travel throughout the South of England and beyond. They have a growing client base in the USA, travelling several times annually to undertake Aga installaons, conversions and servicing. Rural Ranges pride themselves in offering exceptional customer service, alongside a high level of expertise and a friendly, family-oriented ethos.

Opportunity:

As Rural Ranges grow, so does the need to expand the Servicing Team.

They are currently in need of an experienced Gas and Oil Service Engineer with a minimum of 3 years experience in servicing Gas and Oil appliances and boilers.

This role gives the sucessful candidate an opportunity to develop a career in a specialist and sought after industry, utilising their Gas and Oil qualifications and experience. The successful candidate does not need to have previous Aga/Rayburn experience as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing and maintenance of Aga Cookers
  • Servicing and maintenance of Rayburn Cookers
  • Servicing and maintenance of oil boilers
  • Installation of Aga Cookers
  • Maintaining records and documentation

This is not an exhaustive list and you must be flexible in your approach to carrying out your dues which may change from me to me to reflect business needs or for the company’s continous improvement.

About You:

Rural Ranges are seeking a Gas & Oil Service Engineer with exceptional customer service skills to join their team. Adaptability is crucial as you'll encounter a diverse range of challenges daily. Collaboration is key; you'll closely work with teammates, each with a vital role. A tidy, professional appearance is a requirement. We serve a high-end clientele, so exceeding expectations for customer sasfaction is a priority.

There are a few non-negotiables that you will need for this role...

  • The successful candidate will be OFTEC and Gas Safe registered
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 years experience in installations, fault finding & diagnostics repairs & servicing
  • Able to work as part of a small team or alone
  • Good people skills, a polite manner, honesty & integrity are essenal
  • The selected applicant will be a self motivated and diligent worker with exceptional attention to detail
  • The sucessful candidate will need a FULL UK Driving Licence.

Working from our Bridport base, the majority of the role will be located within Dorset and surrounding areas. We also serve an international clientele with the opportunity of travel in the USA and Europe for the right candidate. The role comprises a minimum 40 hours per week with the opportunity to work a 4 or 5 day week according to preference. Flexible working arrangements may be considered
