Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire. Working as a part of a busy team, we have an opportunity for a skilled Mechanically biased HGV Technical Service Controller based at our Brighouse branch.

The HGV Service Controller are responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience by reviewing predictive indicators and optimising resources to meet our customer’s needs; maintaining the desired service business performance, working with the wider control team reviewing and planning our field engineer’s workload to deliver and outstanding level of service to our clients.

We are looking for someone to:

  • Instilling a “Safety first” culture
  • Understanding & responding to customer requests
  • Planning all jobs to maximise engineer productivity.
  • Managing and controlling job progress at every stage.
  • Liaising fully to ensure the job is resolved to the mutual benefit of DGEMC & our external customer
  • Keeping all systems up to date at all stages with accurate job information
  • Providing feedback to our clients to ensure best in class service delivery

To be successful for this position you will:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a technical or mechanical engineering role
  • Previous experience in a similar role within similar industry environment desirable
  • Engineering qualification (likely to be gained in a Mechanical, Automotive or Construction Plant environment, City & Guilds or NVQ preferred) achieved through a recognised formal training programme.
  • Preferably competent in the use of telematics as a diagnostic tool
  • Capability to take ownership and responsibility
  • Committed to delivering high standards of customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise own works and work under pressure to strict deadlines
  • A high level of attention to detail.
  • A strong desire to deliver service excellence.
