Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer

£36,500 plus £3k bonus

Huddersfield.

Monday to Friday (no weekends!) PM shift

14.00 – 22.00 with shift allowance.

Occasional Overtime and additional £3k annual bonus.

City & Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is essential.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic machinery.
  • 18th edition wiring advantageous.

One of my well established and renowned manufacturing clients is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their very busy & demanding Engineering team.

As a key part of the engineering team, you will need to have exposure working electrical components, wiring and knowledge of pneumatic machinery is desired.

  • Installation and wiring of components
    • Facilities maintenance on site across 3 production areas (all same site)
    • Plant and machinery maintenance
    • Reworking panels and control systems
    • Support manufacturing in testing non-standard product
    • Advising on electrical safety, standards and legislation.
  • Respond to machinery and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, ensuring that machinery is serviced, maintained and safe to use.
  • Promoting continuous improvement through regular review of machinery, systems, and processes
  • Fault finding on PLC's and three phase electrics.
  • Installation of new equipment and project-based work as and when required.
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring production are updated on progress.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

As you will be part of a multi-skilled team across this large site, you will be involved in all aspects of electrical work on existing plant machinery and some domestic maintenance across the site.

Plant Machinery and Facilities Maintenance Experience is ideal.
