Job Role Summary:

As the Social Media Executive at Neilson Active Holidays, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing our social media strategy. You will create engaging and dynamic content, foster a vibrant online community, and drive brand awareness across various social media platforms. Your creativity, strategic thinking, and data-driven approach will enhance our digital presence and ensure that Neilson Active Holidays remains a leader in the active holiday sector.

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate and results-driven, with a solid understanding of social media trends and platforms. In our business, a love of travel and active adventure is essential. A sense of Neilson's active holiday ethos, either as a guest or having previously worked for us, will be highly advantageous.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced and dynamic marketing team.

You will be required to travel frequently between our resorts to curate and capture content to support the delivery of the social media strategy. Therefore the ability to travel freely in Europe is essential*

*Travel abroad will be in short durations only:

• UK passport holders would need to utilise their 90-day visa free travel allowance for these trips. This allowance permits travel up to 90-days, within a 180-day period throughout Europe.
• EU passport holders have the right to move freely within the EU.
• Those who's passport is issued outside of the UK or EU, would be required to obtain any necessary documentation where applicable.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in managing and optimising social media accounts on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, X, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Strong understanding of social media analytics tools to track and analyse performance metrics.
• Knowledge of emerging trends in social media, content marketing, and influencer marketing.
• Experience in creating visually appealing and shareable content.
• Familiarity with social media advertising and paid campaigns.
• Ability to stay updated on industry changes and adapt strategies accordingly.
• Understanding of social listening tools and the ability to monitor social media channels for any customer complaints and pain and passion points to feedback to relevant teams.

Experience & Track Record:

Essential:

• Proven experience in managing social media accounts for a consumer-facing brand.
• Demonstrated success in growing social media audiences and increasing engagement.
• Track record of creating and implementing successful social media campaigns.
• Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
• Previous involvement in influencer partnerships and collaborations.
• Familiarity with crisis management on social media platforms.

Desirable:

• Previous Neilson experience is advantageous.
• A love for travel and a passion for an active lifestyle - water sports, skiing, cycling, etc would be beneficial.
• Ski and Active holiday market knowledge.
• Premium brand background.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-level.
• Strong writing skills with the ability to tell a story.
• Happy to travel.
