Description
- Production of the monthly Group management accounts and related reports, to provide financial information to the Board and other stakeholders
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the group audit process to deliver audited financial statements, to comply with our statutory obligations
- Produce board reports and other ad-hoc reports to enable strategic decision-making by the Board
- Support the preparation of the Group budget and subsidiary budgets and forecasts to ensure an efficient and reliable budgeting process
- Liaise with Business Intelligence staff on the continuous development and improvement of the financial systems to increase the efficiency of transaction processing and reporting
- Lead consolidation work across the Group
- Keep up to date with the latest accounting standards and guidance and implement changes, as required, so as to ensure financial practices are in line with current standards and legislation
- Assist the Group Finance Team in any ad hoc projects as required to support improvement of the department in line with business requirements
- Work with other territories to ensure the delivery of Group business objectives and projects
- Any other tasks as required
Profile
A successful Group Accountant should have:
- An ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Strong experience in managing financial operations and reporting.
- Proficiency in financial software and databases.
- A track record in effective team management and stakeholder engagement.
- The ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
