We are seeking an enthusiastic Management Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within Management Accounts, but will have also had exposure to the transactional finance function.

Description
- Production monthly management accounts ready for review by Head of Finance
- Calculate, prepare and post nominal ledger postings (accruals & prepayments)
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Financial Analysis of data
- Variance Analysis to identify discrepancies between actual and budget
- Daily cash flow updates
- Assist Head of Finance in developing year-end budgets and forecasts.
- Management of Credit Control, liaising closely with Head of Finance and ensuring credit checks are done on new partners.
- Ensure all Trade Creditors are paid to terms working with Purchase Ledger Administrator
- Intercompany transactions
- Cover Purchase ledger and other functions during holidays/sickness
- Prepare Monthly Payroll including Pension calculations Monthly VAT, PAYE, and other compliance returns
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- Be studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA)
- Proven analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Previous experience using financial systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance staff
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently
