Your New Company With a concentration on OMB, SME limited businesses, diverse in sector and turnover, up to and over the audit threshold in turnover, spanning several industry sectors, charities, and professional services, this accounting practice, situated in Bristol, has established a very good reputation throughout the South West. The firm's flat organisational structure gives employees the chance to assume growing responsibility in terms of client interaction and relationship management, as well as the range and complexity of technical accounting work you will experience here. Your new role Joining as a Senior Accountant you will have a varied role preparing accounts, corporate tax computations, management accounts, VAT and providing other, varied general practice services to a mixed client base of primarily limited companies, OMBs and SMEs, partnership and sole trader clients. Alongside this, there will be potential for involvement in audit, with some of the firms larger clients, as a much smaller element of your responsibilities, with clients based locally to Bristol. You will have opportunity to progress and develop within the firm and role, with increasing involvement and exposure to added value, project work, assisting partners on the research and delivery of wide ranging accounting and tax work, with client contact and chance to develop your technical career and skills. What you'll need to succeed You must have at least 4 to 6 years of experience at the Senior Accountant level in the accountancy practise sector, preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, and be looking for a challenging career move in the field where you can increase your client contact, responsibility, and career advancement. You may be a part- or finalist-qualified ACA, ACCA, or ATT, or you may only have sufficient experience to date. Any audit experience would be beneficial, but it's also possible to succeed without it if you're ready to get involved and learn the skills for this much smaller part of the function.
