Your new companyCurrently, Hays Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Accountant to join a dynamic professional services firm in central Bristol that is undergoing rapid growth.Your new role
- Complete accounts to the trial balance stage
- Consolidate control accounts and assume accountability for the general ledger's features that fall under your purview.
- Prepare information and text for a variety of monthly, quarterly, and special reports pertaining to all facets of the business.
- Aid with payments, indirect and direct taxation, and financial account preparation
- Take initiative to address reconciliation problems and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate closely with outside auditors and offer them help and support as needed
What you'll need to succeedYou'll be AAT-qualified or studying for AAT, ACCA, or other qualifications. Alternatively, you may have built your career totally on your prior experience. Most importantly, you will have developed a career background in the accountancy practice sector, working within a firm of accountants of any size with at least one to three years experience, or ideally more. You will also possess the key skills below.
- Currently studying towards a further qualification in accounting (ACCA, CIMA, ACA etc.)
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and bringing accounts to the trial balance stage
- Excel in particular, and good functional understanding of MS Office apps
