Your new companyIn order to join a dynamic professional services firm with a well-known brand located just outside of central Bristol, Hays Recruitment is presently seeking to hire an Assistant Accountant. The client is providing a very competitive package for the ideal candidate.Your new role

Supporting the production of weekly revenue & cost reporting and other financial information for an operational company by raising purchase orders, bank reconciliation, VAT returns, payment runs, and other daily processes.
Assistance with the creation of month-end management accounts
Support the implementation of a strong internal control environment by ensuring compliance with all internal procedures and reporting requirements and assist in the production of balance sheet accounts for each period.
Make sure journals are posted accurately and by the deadlines necessary.

What you'll need to succeedYou'll be AAT-qualified or studying for AAT, ACCA, or other qualifications. Alternatively, you may have built your career totally on your prior experience. Most importantly, you will have developed a career background in the accountancy practice sector, working within a firm of accountants of any size with at least one to three years experience, or ideally more. You will also possess the key skills below.

Minimum 1 year transactional finance experience
Intermediate level Excel - lookups/pivots
Commitment to work to deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work well within the team
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to learn and take responsibility for tasks quickly
