We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant (Global Development) to join our Global Student Support Team and support the team in our work to provide information, advice and support to our international students. 

The role will assist the planning, organisation and delivery of international student events while using a “customer first” approach.

Working in a small team, you will provide excellent customer experience to international students by staffing our Global Lounge. You will be juggling multiple mailboxes and responding to a wide range of queries in an efficient way and timely manner.

 You will contribute to the improvement of the team’s communications to students by developing FAQs, content for webpages and digital channels.

In this role you will be working across many stakeholder groups including our immigration advice team, international recruitment and admissions teams, sponsor and agent networks, colleagues internally and those based overseas, as well as other services within the University.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the student experience and can work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and adapt to a diverse range of cultures. A candidate with excellent customer service and organisational skills who can demonstrate broad-based administrative tasks in a large, complex organisation.

About you: You will have excellent customer service skills and must enjoy meeting and helping others from diverse cultures. You will be enthusiastic, friendly, and approachable with an ability to empathise with others. You will be a confident communicator (written and oral) who enjoys working as part of a team and who is flexible. You will have plenty of initiative and be agile to switch priorities in busier times and manage your own workload. We welcome applications from recent graduates.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give both our staff and students access to everything they need to succeed, while we continue to develop incredible new facilities to enhance our offer even further.

The campus has excellent transport links; we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.

This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 12 months, working 37 hours per week.

Job Share: This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time.

UWE Bristol is a campus-based University and it is important for our success and the delivery of an outstanding experience for our students that our campuses are dynamic and vibrant places to learn and spend time. This role is campus based for 3 days per week, with the opportunity for remote/home working on the remaining 2 days. During Orientation activities and other on campus events you will be required to work on campus 100% of your time.
