Reporting into the Head of Regulatory Services you will be responsible for leading the Private Sector Housing and Enforcement Service.
About the Private Sector Group Manager role:
- To lead the Private Sector Housing and Enforcement service to ensure safe, decent, and genuinely affordable place to call home by 2030.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams and projects concerned with the major service objectives for private rented housing.
- Lead on and be accountable for the delivery of key assigned projects, including key policy areas.
- Contribute to the budgets and business planning processes as well as the overall delivery of outputs and outcomes.
Your previous experience as a Private Sector Group Manager:
- Knowledge and experience in all aspects of private-sector housing work. This will include the technical and legal aspects of housing law and property licensing.
- Experience in the use of the Housing Act 2004 and other related statuary guidance.
- Experience providing advice on complex housing cases, as well as promoting tenant's rights and landlord/agent engagement.
- Evidence of preparing and implementing effective enforcement strategies and compliance with legal requirements.
