Electronics Design Engineer

A market-leading client that we have recently partnered with are on the lookout for an Electronics Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplined Research and Development team, based out of Bristol. You'll be working on a hybrid model of 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
My client is a world leader in the design and development of test equipment, used by utility companies, to help install, protect and maintain their infrastructure networks.
The ideal candidate will be qualified with an engineering degree, or equivalent, in Electronic Engineering
or similar. They will be a very skilled, all-round electronics designer, possess good communication skills,
and be able to demonstrate a strong working knowledge in the following areas:
- Analogue Design
- Measurement and test
- Schematic Capture and PCB Layout
- EMC knowledge
- Debug of processor-based hardware
- Circuit Simulation
- Switch Mode PSUs
Desirable
- Embedded Software
- Scripting Languages
- Digital Design
For this position, you should be capable of leading and owning work packages from inception through to completion. Responsible for mentoring junior engineers and leading technical and/or cross functional teams. Take accountability for the product as product owner, ensuring a quality product that meets the necessary business requirements.
Also, you should be able to provide a technical interface to the product management team, developing concepts and ideas in-line with the various product roadmaps, driving the correct technology and maturity into the overall product design.
