Hourly rate depending on experience. Hourly tips raise your hourly rate to roughly £7.50 extra on average.

This role would suit a mature candidate with plenty of restaurant experience who is looking for job stability in a workplace that supports a small team with a commitment to consistently high food and service standards. Most of our core staff have been in employment at Prego for many years, so the role would suit someone looking to grow within our team. We rely on punctual, reliable staff with flexibility. The staff morale is excellent and we all take care of one another.

Prego is an 80 seat restaurant, serving the Westbury Park and surrounding neighbourhoods. We rely on mostly regular clientele and always strive to develop excellent relations with our customers. A positive outlook, energetic disposition and sense of humour is a must.

A genuine love for Italian food and wines, preferably with former understanding of wines as you will be selecting, ordering and writing seasonal wine menus.

You will be cashing up and entering all daily financial data on our excel systems, managing the Restaurant Diary online booking system and handling calls and emails. You will also update our website menus (training will be given for this).

During service, you will be managing the bar, serving all drinks and cocktails, making sure the staff have all the glassware and cutlery they need, manning the phone and managing the floor staff, ensuring smooth customer service.

You will always be on your feet and when doing splits, youll be working 11-13 hours (but only 1-2 of these per week), so experience in a similar role is a must. We are looking for proactive people who can always find things to do and love being busy!

The successful candidate will be doing between 35-40 hours per week, with an hourly wage (to be negotiated on experience), plus a fair share of tips calculated shift by shift.
