  • The purpose of this job is to support the Head of Finance in managing the finance function, ensuring that financial and member account information is accurate, reports are timely and complete, and forecasts and projections are reliable. As Finance Manager, you'll oversee a high volume of transactions, with the finance team processing 1000 transactions in and out each day.Key responsibilities include:
  • To work closely with the Head of Finance, CFO & Finance Committee on strategic and technical financial matters e.g. investment decisions
  • Provide meaningful management information for the Board/CEO to monitor costs and performance of the Credit Union
  • Ensure that bank reconciliations are kept up to date and balanced
  • Support on the treasury functions
  • Monitor software links within banking processes and BACS batches, ensuring that all transactions are made in a timely manner
  • Record an up to date register of fixed assets
  • Control of purchasing processes
  • Ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner
  • Complete the month end and produce monthly MI for Board meetings
  • Support the introduction of new products
  • Measure and interpret management information from all sources of key performance indicators
