My client is seeking a Project Planner for a 60M residential development near Bristol comprising of 3-4 story apartments and housing with over 175 units in total. The project is already underway and is due for completion in early 2026.

The business is a very well-funded blue chip developer contractor.

The ideal candidate will either have a background in large volume house building or main contracting ideally working on student accommodation projects with a wealth of construction project planning knowledge.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • Development of robust and achievable integrated design, procurement and construction programmes, compliant with project requirements.
  • Interpreting and understanding project/contract documentation.
  • Ability to work on development, bid and delivery planning.
  • Production of tender stage method statements.
  • Preparation of logistics, sequencing and phasing layouts.
  • Contribute to the establishment of tender prelims (incl. scaffolding & temp. electrics enquiries).
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting of progress of all projects under your control, presenting project status to Director, key customers and stakeholders.
  • Continually analyse performance, intervening where required to refocus planning efforts in the recovery or redirection of projects (in agreement with Project Manager).
  • Ensure the construction strategy and any recommended improvements are communicated.
  • Ensure records (as built info) are maintained by project teams, allowing the feedback of actual data, driving efficiencies in optimised project delivery and ensuring that lessons learnt are incorporated into future projects.
  • Provide leadership and training, contributing to the progression of Junior Planners and other reporting staff.

This is a permanent fixed term contract until early 2026 with an above market salary for this level to 70k plus car allowance, benefits and completion bonus.
