Morson are recruiting exclusively for our Aerospace client who require a Metrology Fitter at their site in the Avonmouth.

Full training will be provided for this role

Purpose:

Metrology operator will be responsible for perform Metrology measurements inline SAP phases, Datum structure & Health & Safety requirements, review results and understand any errors make sure they are genuine.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• A good engineering problem solver.
• Ability to use Microsoft Window packages – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
• Understanding of CAD software
• Be able to follow high standard and not deviate away from processes
• Able to work in small teams & by themselves
• Methodical worker & happy to learn new skills
• A good Knowledge production flow in Western Approach.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of aircraft bonded assemblies / composite materials.
• Understanding of aircraft drawings, limits and quality systems.
• Self motivated and with good communication skills across all levels.
• Embrace lean manufacture, waste reduction and improvement initiatives.
• Work in accordance with Health & Safety requirements, including relevant risk, COSHH and safe systems of work.
• Undertake training in advanced composite assembly techniques & processes.
• First party certification to be allocated following successful completion of relevant training.
